Bruce was correct, of course. The link to Bill NAVEY's page I was pointing to no longer works. The connection between the PATEs and MONTGOMERYs can, however, be seen at NAVEY's World Connect site (dated 11 Apr 2003)which is still accessible here: Ancestors of John "Bee Log" Pate by Bill NAVEY
